Capital Investment & Management ltd (CIM) and its associate companies, since its founding has primarily operated in emerging and frontier markets .

Its founder David Ericson along with his team have nearly four  decades of experience in Creating large-scale Projects from Ground Zero    in  The  Ex-Soviet Union, the Balkan , East Europe , Middle and Far East ,North and West Africa.

CIM unique  experience and Added Value  is  in developing Projects as Projects , for Private Clients , Partners , Governments  and or for its own account ,  regardless  of the specific Industry or Discipline,  in  a variety of industry sectors .

This is achieved through the creation and management of projects by CIM on behalf of its clients and partners  from the origination stage through to the execution and exit stage , always backed by the Project’s specific  relevant expert technical team  and knowhow .

At CIM we Believe that the actual creation of the project via intimate experience in Project Development Mechanism matters, thus CIM  has successfully created  and is Creating  investments and projects for private and public companies, state agencies , Companies   and local governments across multiple industry sectors including: Agriculture, Education, Energy, Financial Services ( including Insurance) , Healthcare, Hi-Tech, oil & gas, Mines and Minerals, Real Estate, Security and Intelligence , Steel Production and Trade , Telecommunications, and  Strategic Advisory.

David Ericson, Chief Executive

Since the early 1990s, David has worked mostly in the emerging markets of Africa, East and South East Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and the former Soviet republics. His early career included working for a number of London based commodity trading houses such as Marc Rich at Glencore. More recently, he has managed and executed a major hydrocarbon project and is implementing a large Telecom based project in Senegal and large-scale real estate developments in Serbia. With more than three decades of experience, he leads the Capital Investment and Management group which has successfully served companies and governments across multiple industry sectors including: agriculture, defense, education, energy, financial services (equity and debt equity financing), healthcare, industrials, infra-structure, natural resources, real estate, risk, intelligence and security, steel production and trade, technology R&D and telecommunications.
David attended the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics.

Aleksandar Lojpur, Legal Counsel

Aleksandar is a commercial lawyer who specialises in real estate and privatisation transactions. He has three decades of legal experience in multiple jurisdictions. He has passed the bar exams of the Czech Republic, Israel and Serbia. He is co-founder of the first opposition political organisation in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (UJDI), co-founder of several NGOs such as the European Movement in Yugoslavia, Yugoslav Organisation of Helsinki Watch and the Yugoslav Lawyer’s Committee for Human Rights (JUKOM). He is fluent in English, French, Hebrew and Serbo-Croatian.

James Gunn, Corporate Affairs

He is an emerging markets’ specialist that manages a team of public affairs consultants across South East Europe. He has previously worked for a number of international blue chip public relations firms that includes: Lexus Public Relations and Weber Shandwick. James possesses over 25 years’ experience in government and commercial public relations in the fields of financial advisory, mining, pharmaceuticals, property, technology and telecoms.

Daniel Haddow Ericson – CFO

Daniel brings to CIM a strong financial experience, from financial modeling through to investor relations, in the world’s leading financial hubs. Previously he served as Chief of Staff to the CFO of ZIM, one of the world’s largest shipping companies, as well as Finance Manager for a NY based SaaS startup, and lately Daniel was Deal Flow Director at Liquidly Group , New-York.

Daniel has a Degree in Economics.

Simon Cartwright -Advisor

Simon Cartwright ACII  brings to CIM as CIM’s Insurance Advisor,  his vast Insurance Experience. Simon   is a chartered insurer with  five decades of experience  in insurance with Lloyds of London , out of which  Simon has four decades of  experience as a consulted-on oil and gas insurance , predominantly in the Far East and Africa,  developing local insurance models for developing markets.

Mouhamadou Niang -Consultant

Mouhamadou brings to CIM  as its Financial Consultant , Extensive international experience in financing investments in Africa at senior levels, with a focus on infrastructure and large industries; Funds Structuring and Project Finance.

Currently Mouhamadou is operating his Local Senegalese Aurore Capital company and  has vast experience in Banking from his days as the IFC investment officer ,  a Manager at the Islamic Bank Jedda before and after which he was a Manger at the Internationally owned

Africa Development Bank and then Acting Director , working from Its HQ in Tunis , altogether about twenty years , Recently Mouhamadou Led from Paris the privately owned Financial Services Company  Meridiam Group’s efforts in setting up an Africa-focused infrastructure fund, dedicated to investing in infrastructure in Africa.

Mouhamadou attended the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (ESCAE) and Northeastern University Snell School of Engineering Boston ,USA.
